KYLE LAMONT graduated from the University of Missouri on a Guy P. Gannet scholarship for journalism. For a part-time job, she worked at the Blue Note, a live music venue in the heart of town where she formed an emotional connection to music venues. Following graduation, she cut her teeth on rockumentaries by starting her own an indie web series about emerging bands on tour. Backstage interviews feature bands like Little Dragon and Phantogram, with episodes filmed in NYC, Amsterdam, and at Jamaica’s largest reggae music festival. As a versatile producer, she has gone on to write and direct award-winning branded content videos for companies like Southwest Airlines and produce SAG affiliated short films, one of which had a red carpet screening at BFI. Originating in 2019 as a road trip around Maine, Concert Cast has evolved into an audio atlas, guiding listeners through America's live music scenes and has been recognized as a 2022 Spotify Editors Pick for its energetic music journalism. |
